TEDx: Poetry Slam for Authenticity and Dignity

TEDx: Poetry Slam for Authenticity and Dignity | Joël Perrin | TEDxHochschuleLuzern

Joël Perrin a U20 Swiss Poetry Slam Champion. In this talk, he discusses the need for poetry slam in today’s society and performs his piece “Maskenmann“ (man in a mask), mirroring a society of super-fast superficial change.

Join in for a lyrical, philosophical journey along the beauty and dangers of today’s control+alt+delete mentality, reflected in the growing popularity of Poetry Slam. Since 2015, Joël Perrin has oscillated between dissecting rooms and Poetry Slam stages, becoming U20 Swiss Poetry Slam Champion and turning down an invitation to participate in the European Poetry Slam Championship. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more.
